Starting from Grenoble and riding along the Isere (downstream) you can choose a neat and long cycling path on the right bank of the river. Ending in Valence - it is more than 80 km long, but we decided to leave it and continue northwards after passing Voreppe.
Reaching Moirans you can experience some short, but very steep climbs, which you would not expect to find in the valley. Enjoy the view of the highway passing a hundred meters above. You will have to pass above it finally :-)
The main series of climbs ends after la Murette and you start a ride around a lake in Charavines. Reach Paladru after which the lake was named and close the loop returning to Charavines along the opposite side of the lake.
Descending through la Murette continue staight to Voiron. Don't miss cathedral-like Saint-Bruno church and try the fameous Chartreuse liquor.
Finally return to Grenoble finishing this enjoyable 100km trip.
