The tour starts north east of Regensburg in the village Tegernheim. After 5 km you see the Walhalla on the left, a hall of fame build by King Ludwig I of Bavaria. After following the Donauradweg eastwards for another 3 km enter the Sulzbachtal. The road to Brennberg has three short climbs. In Brennberg turn right towards Wiesent. The next 15 km are mostly descending. About 2 km before Wiesent you pass by the Nepal Himalaya Pavillon that was rebuild here after the Expo 2000. After crossing the A3 highway you turn right to Kiefenholz to join the Donauradweg again. From here it is 15 flat kilometers back to Tegernheim.
