We made the trip in august 2016 at 25°C. The way is mostly shadowy. In the beginning the ground is mad eby small stones and steep but can be done easily. later it changes to asphalt till the end of the trip. Nearly always below trees. on top of the mountain you will find a refuge for hikers, a marble statue of maria and a kind of restaurant with great view over lago d'iseo from the terrace. The way down can be done completely on asphalt so you can minimize the risk of bend over an ankle.
